An August Update

We've had a splendid August here at Good Times. As I write this we're in our last day of residence at our It Is What It Is Pop-Up Shop, nestled in Brighton's North Laines on the corner of Tidy Street and Gloucester Road. We've met some wonderful people, and launched the first pieces from the Perryman's Fine Woodworking furniture collection. Not to mention getting very giggly at our first live Make-Along, and selling out of chopping boards on our opening preview night! On top of all that, we began trading at East Dean Farmer's Market with our in-house handmade products, and are looking forward to going back next Wednesday with a fresh batch of chop boards and soap bars. Oh, and much more important than all of that, we welcomed a particularly special new arrival to the Bessant-Ng clan...

If you haven't been before, East Dean Farmer's Market is just about one of the most picturesque market locations you'll visit. Surrounded by Sussex countryside, and placed between the village hall and the (really very nice) village pub, it hosts a vast selection of local produce and crafts. We'll be there every Wednesday from now on, 10 till 12.30, with smiling faces and the sun on our backs (we hope).

You can still find us in our regular pitch at the Brighton Open Market, every Friday and Saturday, from 9 till 5.

We were lucky enough to find out mid-August that our application for the wonderful It Is What It Is Pop-Up Shop space had been accepted. We put in some very speedy orders for new products that we'd been lusting after for a while, and put the finishes to pieces that had been in production; by Monday 24th we were in! It's been great getting to know some of the fabulous local businesses in this part of town (special mentions go to our neighbours Molly's Vintage, and the mighty talented Tiago and Felicia at TF Creative). We've got some exciting new developments coming out of our week in the heart of Brighton- more on this soon!

And finally, the most exciting thing to happen of all things ever; Emily's sister-in-law, Suzy (one half of the brilliant Suzy & Yuko), welcomed her beautiful daughter, Sophie Jean, into the world! We're sending all of our love and congratulations to our Hong Kong family. 祝贺! Félicitations! Glückwünsche!
